Vanilla Beans Earthon’s organic vanilla beans are 6-8 inches long and contain abundance of seeds. Our bean has the sweet woodsy flavour that is superior to that of the Bourbon-Madagascar variety.
The most common use of vanilla is in flavoring ice-cream, chocolate, custard, caramel, cakes and muffins. Each vanilla bean contains around 30% of moisture and around 1.8-2% of vanillin.

The best way to store vanilla is in a tightly-closed container in a cool, dark place away from sun and heat. If the beans are stored in an air tight, sealed container, we recommend opening it every couple of weeks or so to let the air circulate a bit. Once the beans are removed from the vacuum package and if it is stored properly, gourmet beans should remain moist and easy to work with for at least a year, many times quite a bit longer.
